Return Policy

We will be happy to offer a full refund as long as:

  • You have your original sales receipt 
  • The book is in new, unused condition, with no wear or markings
  • Shrink-wrapped items are returned unopened

Spring course materials are returnable through February 9th.

  • Custom printed & digital coursepacks are always non-returnable/exchangeable
  • College guides, test prep guides, and study aids (such as Cliff’s Notes) are always non-returnable/exchangeable
  • Packages containing multiple items must be returned in the original packaging with all components
  • Books marked as “non-returnable” or “final sale” are always non-returnable/exchangeable
  • Materials for courses that run for 4 weeks or less are not returnable unless class is dropped or canceled.

Other Merchandise
Most merchandise may be returned for a full refund if:

  • Merchandise is returned within 30 days of date of purchase.
  • Original itemized cash register receipt accompanies the returned merchandise (we cannot accept cancelled checks or credit card slips in place of receipts)
  • Merchandise is in good condition including all boxes, wrappers, stickers, tags, etc. Shrink-wrapped items must be unopened.

We cannot provide refunds or exchanges for the following items at any time:

  • Sale merchandise and items marked 'final sale'
  • Magazines

Defective merchandise may be exchanged.

 

NYU Computer Store

The Computer Store will accept merchandise for return under the following conditions:

  • Items must be accompanied by original sales receipt.
  • Items must be in original packaging and in perfect condition.
  • Items must be returned within two weeks of original purchase.

There are the following additional conditions:

Hardware: All hardware sales are final at the time of pickup.

Software: Software may be returned if the package is unopened and not damaged; or, if the software is defective. Software cannot be returned for satisfaction reasons under any circumstances after the package is opened. We also regretfully cannot take back software purchased in error (i.e. wrong platform, failing to meet system requirements, etc.) All licenses and media are final sale.

Electronics: Items in bubble pack are not returnable once opened, unless they are defective. All Sony products must be returned directly to Sony for repair or replacement. We regretfully cannot take back any open Sony products.

Accessories: Cables and other accessories can only be returned if defective or unopened. We cannot take back items purchased in error. Tri-X and Plus-X film is final sale.
